NCC To Establish TISN For Enhancement Of Critical National Information Infrastructure

The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, has said a Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN) would be established to enhance information sharing and risk assessment related to Critical National Information Infrastructure.
Maida made this known at the Opening Session of the Critical National Information infrastructure (CNII) protection and Resilience Workshop Series for policy makers and sector regulators, organised by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCCC), office of the National Security Adviser. (28th October, 2024).
The NCC Boss said the network would foster a crucial communication channel for sharing threats and vulnerabilities, promoting decentralized risk assessment and building capacity to implement effective security measures.

He added “Under the leadership of the Office of the National Security Adviser, and in collaboration with key stakeholders from the government, information infrastructure operators, and relevant private sector organizations, a Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN) will be established to enhance information sharing and risk assessment related to Critical National Information Infrastructure.
“This network will foster a crucial communication channel for sharing threats and vulnerabilities, promoting decentralized risk assessment and building capacity to implement effective security measures”.
