Officials of the Lagos Waste Management Authority have arrested two cart pushers for dumping waste along roadsides in FESTAC Town, Amuwo Odofin.
The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab,, made this known in a post on his X handle on Saturday.
He wrote, “LAWMA #Lawma_gov monitoring and enforcement team on morning duty at FESTAC town, Amuwo Odofin to apprehend some illegal cart pushers who collect refuse and waste from residents and market traders around the environment to dump illegally by the roadside, walkway, and median constituting environmental pollution and causing harm to human health.
“Two cart pushers who were obstinate were apprehended, and 30 carts were seized.”
