Obi, Makinde, Dickson Meet Kwankwaso Amid Political Realignment Speculation

The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, now a member of the African Democratic Congress, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) have visited the National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, at his residence in Kano for Eid celebrations.
Kwankwaso disclosed this through photos of the gathering shared on his verified X account on Sunday, describing the occasion as a joyful Sallah celebration.

He wrote, “Delighted to host Their Excellencies, Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde, and Seriake Dickson at my Kano residence for this joyful Sallah celebration”.
Kwankwaso had earlier held a closed-door discussion with Governor Makinde in Ibadan in February 2026, which also suggested talks of possible alliances to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.
