Suspected Bandits Attack Farmer, Kill Wife In Ile Oluji

Some suspected bandits reportedly attacked a crop plantation farm at Ile Oluji in Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The attack reportedly occured at about 4:36pm on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 when the farm owner, Afis Tunde Alani with his wife, Blessing Akinwolire Festive and his workers were on the farm to continue their daily farming activities for food production.

Alani, who narrowly escaped after the bandits had killed his wife, disclosed that the bandits were more than 20 who stormed the farm.
Speaking further, Alani explained that it was not the first time that bandits would attack his farm, narrating that he was once attacked by the bandits on Thursday, April 7th, 2022, while working with his workers where he sustained serious injuries.
He added “On April 30th, 2023, my uncle, Amidu Ishola and three of his employees were attacked by bandits at his farm, not far from mine”.

Narrating his life experiences, Alani stated that he decided to venture into farming because his late father was a farmer whom he used to follow and assist on the farm as a young boy.
He stated that it was his uncle who acquired a large area of land for him to start farming after he lost his job in Lagos State.
