The Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has constituted a 16-man planning committee for the 50th anniversary of the creation of the State and the first anniversary of his administration.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the committee would be chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, while the Premanent Secretary, Cabinet Matters, Pastor Adeyemi Adeyemo, would serve as Secretary.
The statement said that both events would hold in February 2026.
The committee comprises; Dr. Taiwo O Fasoranti, (Chairman), Hon. Omowunmi Isaac, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Mr. Bayo Philip, Mr. Idowu Ajanaku, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Mr. Kenneth Stevenson-Odusola, Mr. Muyiwa Ogunyemi, Mr. Summy Smart Francis, Engr. Razak Obe and Engr. Femi Akarakiri.
Others include; Hon. Omowunmi Ohwovoriole, Hon. Afolabi Adesoji, Chief Gbenga Atiba and Pastor Adeyemi Adeyemo, Secretary.
It added “The committee is expected to constitute sub-committees that will cover the various aspects of the planning for the celebrations.
“The Governor charged members of the committee to put in their best efforts towards organising beffiting anniversary events for the government and the people of the State”.
