The Edo State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Vincent Uwadiae, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance service delivery in the lands and housing sector.
Uwadiae gave this assurance while receiving members of the Edo State branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Benin City.
He emphasised the importance of collaboration and maintaining a cordial working relationship with professional bodies, noting that the ministry remains open to expert advice and constructive input.
The commissioner also stated that the Okpebholo-led administration is implementing policies and programmes aimed at repositioning the lands and housing sector for improved service to the people of Edo State.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of NIESV, Edo State branch, ESV Roger Isiokhere, said the visit was to familiarise the commissioner with the institution’s activities and to express its readiness to partner with the ministry in achieving common goals.
He added that the institution is prepared to provide professional advisory services, ensure accurate valuations for government projects, and support efficient land administration processes.
Also speaking, the State Surveyor-General, Surv. Henry Aghedo, stressed the need for synergy among stakeholders in the lands and housing sector.
Other participants, including ministry directors, also shared insights on strengthening collaboration to improve outcomes.
