Edo Diaspora Agency, Russian Ministry Donate 10,000 Educational Materials To Pupils

The Edo State Government, through the Edo State Diaspora Agency, has partnered with Bethlehem Intercessory Ministry, Russia, to distribute 10,000 educational materials to pupils of Useh Primary School and Urunmwon Primary School in Egor Local Government Area.

The initiative, led by the ministry’s founder, Pastor (Mrs.) Rachel Omobhude, involved the donation of books and writing materials to support teaching and learning and improve pupils’ access to essential educational resources.

The Director-General of the Edo State Diaspora Agency, Dr. (Mrs.) Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, represented by the agency’s Internal Auditor, Mrs. Yvonne Okoh, commended the ministry for its generosity and commitment to expanding educational opportunities for children in the state.

She urged Edo indigenes at home and abroad, as well as diaspora-based organisations, to emulate the ministry by investing in initiatives that address community needs and contribute to the state’s development.

Ogboro-Okor said the partnership demonstrated the importance of collaboration among the state government, diaspora organisations and local stakeholders in delivering tangible benefits to residents.

She added that the initiative aligned with the education component of the Edo State Government’s SHINE Agenda, reaffirming the commitment of the Sen. Monday Okpebholo-led administration to human capital development and a brighter future for Edo children.

In her remarks, Omobhude expressed appreciation to the state government for creating an enabling environment for non-governmental organisations and diaspora partners to contribute to the state’s development priorities.

She said the donation was part of the ministry’s commitment to giving back to society and supporting educational development in Edo State.
