The Super Eagles will depart Nigeria for Guinea-Bissau on Sunday afternoon ahead of their second Group L fixture in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
The three-time African champions are scheduled to hold their final training session at 10:00 a.m. before leaving for Guinea-Bissau at 3:00 p.m.
The session comes after a recovery workout on Saturday following Nigeria’s 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar in Uyo.
The Super Eagles fell behind early but levelled before Moses Usor scored the winning goal to secure three points for Eric Chelle’s side.
Guinea-Bissau, meanwhile, opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Tanzania on Friday to move top of Group L on goal difference.
The Djurtus will host Nigeria in a crucial encounter, with both sides seeking to strengthen their position in the qualification race.
Tanzania’s automatic place as a 2027 AFCON co-host means only the highest-ranked qualifying team from Group L is expected to earn the group’s additional ticket to the tournament.
Nigeria will therefore be seeking another positive result in Guinea-Bissau to strengthen their position and maintain momentum in the race for qualification.
