Brazil secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti to book their place in the next round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ending Haiti’s hopes of progressing in the tournament.
Matheus Cunha, who replaced Igor Thiago in the starting lineup, opened the scoring with a scrappy finish before doubling Brazil’s advantage minutes later with a superb strike.
Vinicius Junior added a third goal before halftime, calmly finishing a one-on-one opportunity with the Haitian goalkeeper to put the match beyond doubt.
Haiti switched from a 5-4-1 formation to a 4-4-2 setup after the break, but the tactical adjustment failed to produce a comeback. With Brazil easing off the intensity in the second half, neither side was able to add to the scoreline as the match ended 3-0.
Following Morocco’s narrow 1-0 victory over Scotland, Brazil moved to the top of Group C on goal difference.
