Osimhen Not For Sale — Galatasaray boss

 

Galatasaray president, Dursun Özbek, has declared that the Turkish champions have no intention of selling Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, despite mounting interest from several top European clubs, including Chelsea FC and Real Madrid FC.

Osimhen completed a permanent move to from in the summer of 2025 after an impressive loan spell that helped the Istanbul giants win a domestic double.

The Super Eagles forward has continued his remarkable form this season, playing a major role in Galatasaray’s successful defence of the Turkish Süper Lig title and their progression to the Round of 16 of the .

Across all competitions, the Nigerian international has registered 22 goals and eight assists in 33 appearances, underlining his status as one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers.

His impressive displays have sparked widespread transfer speculation, with clubs such as also reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, Özbek has firmly dismissed reports suggesting the striker could leave the club, insisting Galatasaray are determined to keep hold of their prized asset.

“We are not considering selling Victor Osimhen. Putting a price on a player we do not intend to sell is like dressing a footballer before he is even born,” Özbek said during a live appearance on HT Spor, as quoted by Sabah.

The Galatasaray president further praised Osimhen’s growing influence at the club, saying the Nigerian striker is inspiring a new generation of supporters. Meanwhile, Osimhen has also been recalled to the squad for upcoming international friendlies against and after missing previous matches against Iran and Jordan.
