The Alimosho League of Obas and Baales, led by the Oba of Akesan Kingdom, Oba Nojeemdeen Abidemi Aberejo, on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with the Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, over the outcome of the APC Alimosho Federal Constituency primary election held on Saturday.

Other monarchs who attended the meeting at the party’s secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba-Ikeja, included the Oba of Ikotun, Oba Azeez Gbadabiu Asiwaju; the Onidimu of Idimu, Oba Noah Surakat; the Oba of Isheri-Olofin, Oba Olasunkanmi Lawal-Bello; the Elegbeda of Egbeda, Oba Hammer Orelope-Laka; and the Oba of Shasha, Oba Nosiru Akanbi Ogunronbi.

The monarchs, however, declined to speak with journalists after the meeting, leaving the outcome of the discussion undisclosed.

It would be recalled that the APC Returning Officer, Barrister Sunny Adeeko, at the APC Alimosho Federal Constituency Collation Centre located at the Alimosho Local Government Secretariat, declared the lawmaker representing Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Ayuba, winner of the primary election after polling 37,021 votes.

Ayuba reportedly defeated four other aspirants, including Olabisi Adebajo, to emerge victorious in the primary election.
