Lagos4Lagos Movement Announces 8th Annual Ramadan Lecture On Economic Empowerment
The Lagos4Lagos Movement has announced plans to hold its 8th Annual Ramadan Lecture on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Lagos.
A statement issued on Friday by the Movement’s State Publicity Secretary, Gbenga Ogunleye, said the lecture will take place at LTV 8, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Themed “Economic Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation: The Islamic Perspective,” this year’s lecture is expected to provide a platform for spiritual reflection and socio-economic dialogue in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.
Ogunleye said the annual event has evolved into a significant forum for engaging faith-based solutions to contemporary societal challenges, particularly issues surrounding poverty, economic inclusion, and social responsibility.
He noted that the 2026 edition aims to deepen public discourse on sustainable economic empowerment strategies rooted in Islamic ethical and moral principles. The programme is expected to attract Islamic scholars, policy stakeholders, community leaders, professionals, and members of the public.
The lecture will be hosted by Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as JANDOR, a 2027 Lagos APC governorship aspirant, whose commitment to community development and social advancement, the statement said, aligns with the vision of the Movement.
The Lagos4Lagos Movement invited members of the media, stakeholders, and the general public to attend and participate in the engagement.
“As the holy month approaches, the Lagos4Lagos Movement extends warm wishes of peace, compassion, and shared prosperity to all Muslim faithful. Ramadan Kareem,” the statement read.
