APC’s Lagos4Lagos Movement Inaugurates Street Captains to Power 2027 Grassroots Push In Ojo

The Lagos4Lagos Movement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Otto Awori LCDA, Ojo Local Government Area, has inaugurated Street Captains, each tasked with coordinating 100 grassroots mobilisers per street, in a renewed drive to strengthen party structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The initiative is a key component of the JAGABAN/JANDOR 2027 Project, aimed at institutionalising street-level political organisation, voter education and sustained community mobilisation across Otto Awori LCDA and the wider Badagry Division.

Speaking at the event, the APC State Chairman, represented by the Lagos West Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon. Rasheed Gbose, underscored the strategic importance of the Street Captains initiative, describing it as vital to effective grassroots engagement, voter outreach and party discipline.

He urged members to actively participate in the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, noting that a robust and updated party register is essential to securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and retaining Lagos State under APC leadership.

In his keynote address, APC leader Chief Shakirudeen Ola Apena advocated greater consideration for Badagry Division in Lagos’ leadership discourse, pointing out that it remains the only IBILE division yet to produce a state governor. He highlighted the division’s infrastructure gaps despite its strategic potential in tourism, aquaculture, the blue economy and maritime trade.

Chief Apena also described Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) as the preferred APC governorship aspirant for 2027, citing his courage, competence, resilience and capacity as qualities suited to the future leadership needs of Lagos State.

The event, held at the Ilogbo-Elegba Town Hall in Ojo, was attended by party leaders, stakeholders, youth groups and grassroots mobilisers from across Otto Awori LCDA and the Badagry Division.
