Lagos Honours Top-Performing MDAs At 2024 Service Charter Awards

 

As part of its commitment to fostering excellence and accountability within the public service, the Lagos State Office of Transformation, Creativity, and Innovation (OTCI) has hosted its annual Service Charter Awards Ceremony with the theme Service in Action: Recognising Excellence Across MDAs.”

The event highlights continuous improvement and innovation across government institutions.

The ceremony celebrated outstanding achievements by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to public service delivery in Lagos State.

Three distinguished agencies—the Lagos State Health Management Authority (LASHMA), the Land Bureau (which won two awards), and the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service were honoured for exemplary service.

Speaking at the event, the Director-General of OTCI, Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa, underscored the evolving direction of the Service Charter, noting that it is now more closely aligned with the principles of the Ease of Doing Business initiative.

She emphasized the importance of transparency and an enhanced customer experience in strengthening public service delivery.

“Today, we recognise those who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to service excellence. Our focus on transparency and improving customer experiences is essential as we work toward a more efficient and responsive government”, she added.

The recognised agencies were commended for their innovative approaches and unwavering commitment to improving the quality of public services, demonstrating how effective governance can yield positive outcomes for residents.
