2027: Ondo Youth Alliance Mobilises for Tinubu, Predicts Landslide Youth Votes

Young citizens in Ondo State have launched a new political support platform aimed at boosting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection prospects in 2027.

The group, known as the Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT), brings together youth associations and organisations across the state to mobilise widespread support for the President.

Speaking on Monday, the Group Director General, Thalis Olonite Apalowo, said the organisation is confident that President Tinubu will secure an overwhelming share of youth votes in Ondo State.

“In less than two years, young Nigerians have witnessed significant steps taken to end petroleum subsidies and stabilise the foreign exchange system. Access to higher education has been made easier through the student loan initiative. Today, more young people—especially in Ondo State—are establishing small and medium enterprises, which remain the backbone of every thriving economy. The achievements are numerous,” he said.

Apalowo added that the group would leverage its “collective strength, mobilisation capacity, grassroots networks, organisational structure, communication channels, and every available resource” to ensure the President’s reelection.

According to the statement, OYAT is sponsored by Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior and an indigene of Ondo State. The group will prioritise youth-focused issues such as economic empowerment and improved access to opportunities.

Highlighting some of the Minister’s achievements, Apalowo said: “When the Honourable Minister assumed office, he moved quickly into action. Over 200,000 passport backlogs were cleared. The introduction of e-gates eased airport traffic and reduced human contact—an important step in curbing corruption. A new Data Control Centre and several innovative reforms across agencies under the Ministry have also been delivered.”
