The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, will on Thursday, November 6, 2025, visit Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) for a major empowerment outreach and scholarship programme, with a special focus on students living with disabilities.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele confirmed his attendance and explained that the initiative aims to support the less privileged in their educational pursuits.
According to him, the rising cost of education has made learning increasingly unaffordable, especially for physically challenged students who lack adequate support.
“Education is becoming unaffordable for the less privileged, especially for the disabled who can’t do much to raise money for their studies. Many of them have the passion but not the means, and someone has to step in to help,” he said.
“Being disabled or less privileged should not deprive anyone of the right to be educated. Finances should never be a barrier to dreams.”
Primate Ayodele reiterated his deep concern for students who desire education but are constrained by financial hardship.
“I love to see people educated, and it hurts when those with genuine passion for learning are held back due to lack of funds. That is why we are contributing our quota to support YABATECH students, particularly those with disabilities,” he added.
Beyond scholarships, the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church will also launch a Students’ Fellowship Programme at the institution, open to students of all faiths and denominations.
Unlike conventional religious fellowships, the initiative will not be limited to INRI members or promote specific doctrines but will welcome anyone who seeks spiritual growth and community engagement.
Additionally, discussions will be held on the affiliation of a School of Communication and Public Relations to YABATECH—an initiative expected to give Mass Communication students more hands-on learning opportunities.
It would be recalled that Primate Ayodele recently donated over ₦2 million to some YABATECH students who visited his church, promising to expand his support and urging them to remain focused on their studies.
