Edo Commissioner Vows to Foster Collaboration, Promote Scientific Approach to Governance
As a way of facilitating development across all sectors of the state, the newly appointed Edo State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Etin-osa Ogbeiwi has assured that his guidance will enhance the Ministry’s innovations that will strategically lead to achieving tangible results in the State.
He gave assurances on understudying the Ministry to be able to proffer practicable solutions to challenges faced and reiterated his commitment to fostering efficiency in service delivery.
Ogbeiwi gave the assurances during his first engagement with staff and stakeholders of the Ministry in Benin City, where he appreciated staff for the warm reception accorded him on assumption of office.
While soliciting their cooperation in moving the Ministry forward, he noted his will to learn and work harmoniously towards driving policies and formulation of initiatives that would enhance the state’s development..
The Commissioner highlighted the vital role of Science and Technology in promoting a scientific approach to governance and in strengthening inter-agency collaboration across MDAs.
He therefore, called for collaboration in the execution of policy to drive progress, and working in synchronization with the vision and mission of the Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo.
On behalf of all staff of the Ministry, the Functioning Permanent Secretary, Engr. Jonathan Ukpebor, assured the Commissioner of their cooperation in actualizing the State Government’s vision.
