Ex-Lagos Council Chairman, Toba Oke Dies At 65

 

A former Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke has died.

He died at age 65.

Oke served as two-term Chairman of the local government. He first served in 2011 and also served in 2017 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He died in a Lagos hospital where he was rushed to on Friday, 7 February, 2025, due to complications from diabetes.

Despite efforts to stabilise him, he passed away on Sunday, 9 February, 2025.

Oke, a media practitioner, worked with the African Independent Television (AIT) before venturing into politics.
