The University of Lagos, UNILAG, has launched Electronic Buses to further ease transportation for students and other members of the academic community.
The buses were also to decarbonize the academic environment
Speaking at the launch of the buses, the Vice Chancellor, Unilag, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola said that the Zero emissions vehicles would not only afford students and non students a cheaper and safer transportation system but would ensure a decarbonated environment in the Campus.
Ogunsola stressed that the fourteen seater buses would be economical to operate by the private organization in charge of the buses, being a non fuel based vehicles.
The Vice Chancellor and her management team later unveil a new logo for the University to replace the dilapidated one.
