The Federal Government has declared Monday September 16, 2024, as public holiday to mark the celebration of Eid-ul-mawlid, the birth of Holy Prophet Mohammed.
This announcement was made by the federal government through the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement issued on Friday.
Tunji-Ojo congratulated Mulim Ummahh both at home and in the diaspora on the occasion.
The Minister urged the Muslim Ummah and by extension, Nigerians to imbibe the spirit off patience, sacrifice and resilience.
He implored Nigerians to use the opportunity of the period to pray for enduring peace and a more prosperous egalitarian nation.
