Kwara Governor, AbdulRazaq Declares Friday Work-Free For Voter Registration

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has declared Friday, July 29 work-free for civil servants in the state to enable them register to vote in 2023 general elections.

This is contained in a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye on Thursday in Ilorin.

Ajakaye said the holiday became necessary because INEC has announced Monday, July 31 as closing date for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).

“His Excellency urges the people of Kwara State, especially the civil servants, to take full advantage of the holiday to perform their civic duty of registering to vote,” Ajakaye said.
