NFF Inaugurates Fact-Finding Panel On Nigeria’s Football Crisis

 

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, on Monday inaugurated a Fact-Finding Committee on Nigeria’s recent football setbacks, urging members to work with sincerity and diligence.

The committee was set up after the Super Falcons failed to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup to investigate the causes of the national teams’ poor performances.

Gusau tasked the committee to examine both direct and remote factors behind the setbacks, especially the Falcons’ failure, and submit its report within two weeks. He said members were selected for their experience to help provide solutions.

Chairman Ambassador Fanny Ikhayere Amun, said the committee would work responsibly, consult stakeholders, and receive public memoranda, pledging a truthful and thorough report.

Members include Desire Oparanozie, Mutiu Adepoju, Ladan Bosso, and Dr Alex Mana, with Nasiru Jibril as secretary.

Also present were NIS DG Philip Shaibu, NFF GS Dr Mohammed Sanusi, and other senior NFF officials.
