ICAN Deepens Collaboration With Lagos Auditor-General’s Office, Renews Commitment To Accountability

 

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Lagos State Public Service Chapter, and the Ifako-Ijaiye & District Society have strengthened their professional ties with the Office of the State Auditor-General, Lagos State.

The ICAN delegation, led by Mrs. Suarau Oluwatoyin, FCA, and Mr. Olofinsawe Phillips Alaba, FCA, paid a courtesy visit to the Office to promote greater collaboration in accountability, professionalism and public-sector financial management.

Receiving the delegation, the Acting State Auditor-General, Dr. Olufunke Omolara Tayo-Makanjuola, appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the Office’s commitment to sustaining a cordial and mutually beneficial relationship with ICAN.

A major highlight of the visit was the decoration of Tayo-Makanjuola by the ICAN delegation in recognition of her professional standing and affiliation with the Institute.

 

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued professional engagement and collaboration aimed at strengthening public-sector accounting and auditing standards in Lagos State.
