Edo, NITDA Deepen Partnership On Digital Literacy, Innovation

 

Edo State Government, through the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy (MCDE), has begun talks with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to boost digital literacy, workforce development and innovation in line with Governor Monday Okpebholo’s SHINE Agenda.

The engagement took place during a visit by Commissioner Ohimai Ehijimetor to NITDA Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, in Abuja.

Ehijimetor said the state is focused on partnerships that will drive digital transformation, expand digital skills, and improve service delivery.

He added that working with NITDA will strengthen education, capacity building and innovation across Edo.

Meanwhile, Abdullahi reaffirmed NITDA’s support for states through its Digital Literacy Framework and said the agency is ready to provide training and knowledge transfer to sustain digital literacy efforts.

He noted that the collaboration will promote inclusion, speed up technology adoption and expand participation in the digital economy.
