… semi-finals start Tuesday with France Vs Spain

The semi-final lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is now confirmed after Argentina defeated Switzerland 3-1 and England beat Norway 2-1.

France were the first team to reach the last four, beating Morocco 2-0 on Thursday. Spain followed on Friday with a 2-1 win over Belgium.

England secured their spot on Saturday with a 2-1 extra-time comeback against Norway in Miami, thanks to two goals from Jude Bellingham.

The last semi-final place went to defending champions Argentina. They beat 10-man Switzerland 3-1 after extra time on Sunday. Lionel Messi recorded an assist, while Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez scored late to seal the win.

The results mean France will face Spain and England will play Argentina in the semi-finals.

England and Argentina will meet again in one of football’s biggest rivalries after both advanced from the quarter-finals. It will be their first World Cup meeting since 2002.
