Introducing Femi Azeez, the debutant who scored both goals in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over the Warriors of Zimbabwe in Tuesday’s Unity Cup semi-final clash in London.
Azeez plays for Millwall F.C. in the English Championship and is regarded as a skilful left-footed attacker, although he is comfortable using both feet.
Born in England to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother, Azeez was eligible to represent Nigeria, England, or Spain at international level, but opted to play for Nigeria.
Interestingly, his younger brother currently represents England, though Nigerian football authorities are reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
