Wike-Backed PDP BoT Convenes Emergency Abuja Meeting After Court Nullifies 2025 Convention
The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party backed by the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyseom Wike will meet in Abuja on Wednesday, following the fallout from the court ruling that nullified the party’s 2025 national convention.
According to a notice obtained signed by the BoT Chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa, the meeting will take place at 2 pm in Abuja.
“This serves to formally invite all members of the Board of Trustees of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 2 pm. Venue is 1, Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp, Abuja,” the notice stated.
Ohuabunwa said the meeting is being convened by the BoT and is recognised by the party’s caretaker leadership.
“Note that this is the only BoT recognised as constituted by the Abdulrahman/Anyanwu-led National Caretaker Working Committee pursuant to the Federal High Court decision and ratified by the Court of Appeal in Abuja,” he said.
He also cautioned members against responding to any other invitations.
