The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, improved service delivery, and policies aimed at enhancing the welfare, security and economic opportunities of residents across the state.
He made the affirmation at the commencement of his statewide tour of the 18 local government areas, undertaken to express appreciation to the people for their support, engage directly with communities, and extend goodwill messages ahead of the Christmas and New Year festivities.
The tour is designed to strengthen government–grassroots interaction, providing the governor with an opportunity to listen to residents’ concerns, receive feedback on governance, and reinforce his administration’s people-centred approach to development.
Governor Aiyedatiwa noted that the visit would also serve as an assessment exercise to evaluate the impact of key government programmes and policies, particularly the state’s OUR EASE Agenda and the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Initiative, as they affect communities at the local level.
He emphasised that effective governance thrives on regular engagement with the people, stressing that firsthand interaction is crucial to ensuring that development projects and social interventions align with the real needs of citizens across the state.
During the tour, the governor is expected to visit towns and communities across the three senatorial districts, where he will hold interactive sessions with key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups and women’s organisations.
