NUJ Lagos Set For 2026 Press Week

 

..as Dakuku Peterside delivers public lecture on media and economic growth

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council, has concluded plans to hold its 2026 Press Week from Monday, September 28, to Sunday, October 4.

The programme will feature a Health and Awareness Walk, Public Lecture, Chapel Rendezvous, Juma’at Service, Gala and Awards Night, and Thanksgiving Service.

The Public Lecture, themed “Politics, Ports and the Public Interest: The Media’s Catalytic Role in Driving Economic Growth,” will be delivered by former NIMASA Director-General, Dr Dakuku Peterside, on Wednesday, September 30, at the Radio Lagos/Eko FM Multipurpose Hall, Ikeja, at 10:00 a.m.

NUJ Lagos Chairman, Mr Adeleye Ajayi, described the Press Week as an annual platform for journalists to interact, strengthen professional relationships and celebrate the profession.

He urged journalists across the state to participate actively, saying the event would promote unity, networking, idea-sharing and responsible journalism.
