Sanwo-Olu Boosts Community Policing with New Intelligence Tools for LNSC

The Lagos State Government has intensified its commitment to community policing as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu equipped the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) with modern intelligence-gathering tools to strengthen security operations across the state.

During the official distribution of the equipment to various LNSC commands, the General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA), Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, FISN, cautioned officers against complacency and misuse of government property.

Prince Oyekan commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his sustained investment in public safety, describing the provision of the new tools as a historic milestone—the first of its kind in the agency’s history. He explained that the equipment would enhance the efficiency, responsiveness, and intelligence capacity of corps officers in addressing emerging security challenges in communities.

While urging officers to embrace innovation and develop new ideas for improved service delivery, Oyekan reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property in Lagos State. He stressed that negligence and excuses would not be tolerated in the discharge of official duties.

“This gesture from Mr. Governor comes with great responsibility,” he said. “We must justify the government’s investment by ensuring these tools are used strictly to enhance intelligence operations and safeguard our communities.”
