Ododo Submits Ekiti APC Governorship Primary Report to Party Leadership

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Wednesday visited the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja to submit the report of the Ekiti State Governorship Primary Election.
The governor served as Chairman of the Ekiti APC Governorship Primary Election Committee.
Speaking during the brief presentation ceremony, Ododo expressed appreciation to the party’s leadership and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the confidence reposed in him and members of the committee, stating that the exercise was transparent, credible, and conducted in strict compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
He commended the party for adopting the consensus mode of primary, describing it as the most peaceful and effective method of candidate selection.
Receiving the report on behalf of the National Chairman, the Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the party, Dr. Chidi Duru, lauded Governor Ododo for the successful conduct of the exercise, noting that the party was proud of his leadership and commitment.
“Governor Ododo remains one of the star governors of our party who consistently delivers on every national assignment. We will continue to rely on his competence and experience for future engagements,” Duru stated.
He further emphasized that the consensus approach to candidate selection promotes internal harmony and strengthens the party’s unity ahead of elections.
After submitting the report, Governor Ododo addressed journalists, where he once again thanked President Tinubu and the APC National Chairman for their trust and support.
Earlier in the day, the Kogi State Governor paid a courtesy visit to the National Assembly, where he held a brief meeting with Senators from Kogi State and expressed support for the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, Major General Waidi Shaibu.
