The First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday decorated her staff, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nonye Welle, following her recent promotion.
The ceremony took place at the Conference Room of the Office of the First Lady, State House, Abuja.
The decoration was carried out by the First Lady, assisted by the Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO) to the President, Commissioner of Police (CP) Usman Musa Shugaba.
Also decorated during the occasion was the First Lady’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bello Yakubu, whose wife, Hajia Saadatu Bello Yakubu, joined the First Lady in pinning his new rank insignia.
The First Lady congratulated the officers and commended their professionalism and dedication to duty, noting that their promotion reflects not just personal achievement, but also the collective value of service, loyalty, and excellence in public duty.
