The Owu Ita-Iyalode football team has emerged winner of the 2025 Oba Matemilola U-15 Football Competition I. Owu kingdom in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Owu Ita-Iyalode defeated Owutedo team 3–1 in the final match held at African Church Grammar School, Ita-Iyalode, Abeokuta.
The competition was organised to mark the 61st birthday of the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Adelola Matemilola.
The team received a cash prize of ₦250,000, while Owutedo and Owu Akinale, who came second and third, went home with ₦200,000 and ₦150,000 respectively.
The monarch commended all participants for their dedication to grassroots sports and community development.
