Bala Mohammed Sacks 5 Commissioners

 

 

The governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has sacked five commissioners, reshuffling his cabinet.

A  statement issued by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, explained that the move was strategic to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in Bauchi State.

“This move reflects the administration’s commitment to injecting new ideas and energy into governance, in line with the Governor’s vision of strengthening the machinery of government and addressing emerging challenges effectively.”

The affected commissioners are: Commissioner of Education, Dr. Jamila Dahiru. Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu. Commissioner of Information and Communication, Comrade Usman Danturaki. Commissioner of Agriculture, Professor Simon Madugu Yalams. Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation, Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza.

“Governor Mohammed expressed profound gratitude to the outgoing commissioners, acknowledging their contributions to the state’s growth and development.

“He commended their dedication and efforts in advancing the administration’s initiatives and wished them success in their future endeavours”, said the statement.

Meanwhile, Governor Mohammed has also forwarded the names of eight new nominees for security clearance and subsequent confirmation by the Bauchi State House of Assembly. These individuals are:

Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde – Toro Local Government. Abdullahi Mohammed – Misau Local Government. Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi – Dass local Government. Usman Usman Shehu – Shira Local Government. Iliyasu Aliyu Gital – Tafawa Balewa Local Government. Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah – Tafawa Balewa Local Government. Hon Adamu Babayo Gabarin – Darazo Local Government. Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam – Toro Local Government

The governor reassured the people of Bauchi State that the reshuffle was part of a routine effort to enhance the administration’s effectiveness.

He emphasised his unwavering commitment to fulfilling his mandate and ensuring sustained progress for the state.
