BREAKING: PDP Elects Tanimu Turaki As National Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has elected the former minister for special duties and intergovernmental affairs, Tanimu Turaki SAN as its national chairman.
Turaki was elected on Saturday during the party’s national convention in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
The former Minister, who was the sole candidate for the top position of the main opposition party, secured 1,516 votes.
His adoption followed the earlier withdrawal of Lado Dan Marke, the 2023 governorship candidate of the PDP in Katsina state, from the race.
Also at the convention, delegates from 17 states across the country cast their votes to choose national officers.
