Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II was in Daura on a personal visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari and Emir of Daura, HRH Umar Farouq Umar on Tuesday.
Former President Buhari had a good working relationship with the Oba of Benin during his Presidency and a historical connection to Benin Kingdom, where he spent most of his 40-month detention period, between August 1985 and December 1988, after he was overthrown in a coup’detat by General Ibrahim Babangida.
