APC Directs Strict Compliance As Ogun LG Congress Holds Across 20 Councils

 

 

The All Progressives Congress, Ogun State Chapter, has directed that the local government congress scheduled for today, Saturday, must start by 12 noon.

Ogun APC gave the directive in a statement issued by its Spokesman, Femi Nuberu on Saturday.

The party said the directive must be strictly adhered to by all concerned, as it is aimed at ensuring proper coordination, uniformity, and transparency in the conduct of the congress across all local government areas.

Nuberu stated, “As we proceed to the Local Government Congress scheduled to hold today, 21st of February, 2026, the party leadership hereby directs that no Local Government should commence the exercise earlier than 12:00 noon.

“This directive must be strictly adhered to by all concerned, as it is aimed at ensuring proper coordination, uniformity and transparency in the conduct of the congress across all local government areas. Party officials, electoral officers, aspirants, and members are therefore urged to comply fully with this directive and continue to uphold the peace, order, and discipline that define our great party. Our party remains committed to internal democracy, fairness, and credible processes, and we are confident that today’s exercise will further strengthen the unity and structure of our party.”

The party commended its members, leaders, and critical stakeholders across the state for their exemplary conduct and commitment, which culminated in the successful and peaceful conduct of the Ward Congress held on Wednesday.

It added that the peaceful atmosphere recorded during the exercise is a testament to the maturity, unity of purpose, and unwavering loyalty of its members to the ideals and leadership of the party.

“We deeply appreciate the spirit of sportsmanship, cooperation, and respect for due process displayed throughout the exercise,” the party said.
