Just In: INEC Declares Adeleke Winner Of Osun Governorship Election

 

…as PDP wins 17 of 30 LGAs

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ademola Adeleke winner of the Osun State governorship election.

After collation of votes in the 30 Local Government Areas in the state, Adeleke polled the highest number of votes, defeating the incumbent and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress Gboyega Oyetola.

From the results collated by INEC, Adeleke polled a total of 403,371 votes to defeats Oyetola’s 375,027 votes.

The PDP won 17 out of the LGAs in the state, leaving the remaining 13 for the incumbent APC.
