The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, has congratulated the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the APC.
NewsBeatng had reported that Tinubu polled 1,271 votes to defeat his closest challenger, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who scored 316 votes, while Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President Ahmad Lawan got 235 and 152 votes, respectively.
In a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, Atiku, a former Vice President, noted that Tinubu’s victory at the “hard-fought” presidential primary confirms the tenacity of the APC leader.
