Popular hiphop star, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, commonly known as Mayorkun was reported to have met David Adeleke (Davido) on the twitter street years ago, but many did not know how he was signed into the DMW record label.

At that time davido launched his record label DMW and was searching for upcoming talent to invest on and he sent a direct message to Mayourkun, asking him if he could do more than playing the piano.
Mayorkun replied him that he can sing but was never given the floor to show his talent.
Davido tested him and they linked up in a studio where mayor did a freestyle that made davido to be interested in him.
They both signed a deal and mayourkun was welcomed to the “Davido music worldwide” (DMW) label.
